I had the same debate and decided to forego the PA311d NEC and debated between the BenQ SW321C and ultimately stretched my budget to an Eizo CG319x but YMMVįuji GFX 100, Laowa 17/4 for GFX, Fuji GF 23/4, Fuji GF 32-64/4, Fuji GF 45-100, Fuji GF 110/2, Fuji GF 100-200/5.6, Fuji GF 250/4, Zeiss Loxia 21/2.8, Voigtlander 40/1. Apple retina displays are wonderful for viewingPhotos and videos but less good for creating digital work. All you need is a nice lint free microfiber cloth and you. Just mix equal parts water and alcohol is the spray bottle, and viola, you have the very best cleaning solution. ![]() You will need: - Distilled water (do not use regular water) - 70 or greater isopropyl alcohol (I prefer 91) - Spray bottle. Regarding resolution, 5K monitors at 27 inches are retina displays which means you cannot see the individual pixels which also means judging sharpness can be difficult because everything looks sharp. What I recommend is making your own solution. I worry about long-term support for these monitors. Or on Instagram PA series monitors from NEC are very good but have been discontinued. It would be unworkable for me even as a second monitor to the 4k you have, but again, that's me.I'd prioritize resolution over the AdobeRGB gamut. ![]() But going from 5k to that Sharp is like going from a 14.7MP image to a 3.7MP, since that's the pixel difference. But if you can skip down to lower resolution maybe you don't need 5k. The monitor has limitations, such as the absence of HDR and Mac-exclusive features like Center Stage.
